The gall bladder expedition.
Olivia finally had to have the gall bladder removed.
Dr. Gooding, in Ashland, told her when she was a young woman that her problems were gall bladder, but.....Then when Charlie was about three it could wait no longer. So she drove herself to the little hospital on Steel and 28th. Next to this little hospital was the most beautiful and huge garden we had ever seen. What a place to wonder in while Oly was in surgery! We were relatively new to Portland and had never seen community gardens before.
